  2. Adjustments for First-Time Buyers: The tax-free threshold for first-time buyers will reduce from £425,000 to £300,000. For properties priced between £300,001 and £500,000, a 5% SDLT rate will apply on the amount exceeding £300,000. Purchases above £500,000 will not qualify for first-time buyer relief.
